Business Case Writing
A good idea still needs a good argument. A business case is how you get a project funded, approved or chosen over the alternatives, and it has to speak to people who control the budget and may not care about the technology.
We write business cases that connect a technology project to business outcomes: the problem, the options, the costs and risks, and the return. Because we build and secure software ourselves, we can keep the technical side accurate and the writing readable.
What's included
Problem and opportunity statements
A clear account of what is wrong today, or what is possible, and why it matters now.
Options analysis
Realistic alternatives compared fairly, including doing nothing, so decision-makers can see why you recommend what you do.
Costs, benefits and risks
A structured view of what the project costs, what it delivers, and what could go wrong, with assumptions stated openly.
Funding, grant and tender support
Help shaping the technology and business content of applications and responses, wherever a written case is needed.
Executive summaries and presentations
The key points in a form that senior stakeholders can absorb in minutes.
Review of an existing draft
If you have already written a case, we will tighten it, test the logic and fill the gaps.
How we work
01
Interview and gather
We talk with you and your stakeholders and collect the facts, figures and constraints the case depends on.
02
Draft and structure
We write a first draft that follows the format your approver expects, whether that is a government template, a board paper or a funder's form.
03
Refine and finalise
We work through your feedback, strengthen weak points and deliver a finished document, ready to submit.
Who it's for
Small businesses
The written case behind a grant application, a loan, a major purchase or a decision to invest in software.
Larger organisations
Structured cases for internal approval, procurement and governance, written in the format your reviewers expect.
Common questions
Do you guarantee a business case will be approved or funded?
No. Approval depends on many things we do not control. What we do is make your case clear, accurate and well argued, which gives it the best chance of being taken seriously.
Can you write a case for a project you are not building?
Yes. Many cases are written before any developer is chosen. We stay independent of any particular supplier unless you ask us to quote for the build.
What do you need from us?
A short brief, access to the people who understand the problem, and any existing figures or documents. We handle the structure and writing from there.
